I am loving my morning walks in Cave Creek.

Our neighborhood is a haven for many animal species.

This was our visual treat and privilege to witness this morning, a newborn javalina.

At first glance I thought I was looking at a tiny newborn fawn all curled up in the underbrush, until Mama Javalina and her friends came wandering forward. It was time for us to move along! We don’t want to disturb the wildlife, especially javalina, they can be vicious defenders of their family.
