A local owl arrived yesterday at twilight while I was out watering our newly planted saplings. Perhaps he was attracted to the sound of running water? My task this morning was to dig out the copper bowl I have used as a bird bath in the past and create a raised spa area just for him.

When we lived in New River, Arizona, several types of owls were common and often appeared at twilight to enjoy our bird bath. We hope to see more of our feathered friends here in Cave Creek. They are welcome!
