Yesterday I taught my first class at the Holland Center in North Scottsdale. My students were amazing! They showed up with enthusiasm, great questions, and a willingness to experiment. Their goal was to create a hand-stitched “Copper Clad Journal”.

Students chose their own colors of ribbon and waxed linen thread, and experimented with different types of patina, and while we all embossed on copper and created similar books, the results were diverse and quite beautiful. The book shown was created by Julia H.
