Bees love purple

Mar 17, 2020

This month, encouraged by recent rainfall, the dreaded and noxious plant known as stinknet (or globe chamomile) has taken over our half acre. I am determined to pull these nasty little plants up by the roots instead of spraying with a toxic chemical -- One day at a time, at least an hour or a bucket a day, pulling is REALLY hard work!

There was a silver lining early on when, after clearing a front flower bed, I discovered several lavender plants that had come up on their own. The bees are having a field day! We (the bees and me) LOVE Purple.

Already more lavender plants are emerging. I just needed to clear the way and give them a chance to grow.
