Libby Rehm returned to her artistic origins of mixed media and painting of all kinds after a long career in corporate marketing. Libby’s home is surrounded by the spectacular Colorado Rocky Mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park. Her studio is located in Estes Park, Colorado and her Elegant Elk Studios’ name reflects the large herds of elk that roam in her front yard, backyard and right up onto her deck, raiding bird feeders and peeking in windows! Libby’s longtime romance with photography has resulted in a photo library exceeding 40,000 images. These images serve as reference and inspiration for painted papers, journal designs and monoprints. Her desire to begin making handmade books, utilizing her photos, led Libby to immerse herself in a wide range of book making and mixed media classes from nationally known artists, including Albie Smith, Cathy Taylor, Claudine Helmuth, David Ashley, Ed Hutchinson, 
Jill Berry, lynda Abare, Lynne Perrella, Melinda Canino, Susan King, and Traci Bautista. You may have met Libby in the “5 Acre Arts” vendor booth at ART Unraveled, a week-long mixed media art retreat in Phoenix, Arizona. Libby’s offerings include a wide range of her painted papers, ideal for backgrounds, book end papers, journal signatures and collage elements.
